Government authority located in Jefferson City, Missouri; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for insurance market regulation actuarial services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide insurance market regulation actuarial services to the government authority located in Jefferson City, MO.
1) General Property and Casualty Insurance Products
2) Workers’ Compensation Insurance Products
3) General Life and Health Insurance Products
4) Accident and Health Insurance (Individual, Small Group, Large Group, Managed Care, Long Term Care and Medicare Support) Products
- The contractor shall provide services on an as needed, if needed basis.  The state agency does not estimate the number or types of projects or number of hours that will be required.  However, the state agency estimates the need for a review of the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) annual filing that includes their actuarial support and the logic behind recommended base Workers Compensation rates, estimating approximately 130 hours.
- The contractor shall agree and understand that an actuarial review shall be defined as verifying and checking assumptions, methodologies, working papers, and other documents which support the insurance company’s rate filings, and any other actuarial items.  The contractor further agrees and understands that an actuarial review shall not be a complete development or redevelopment of the insurance company’s reserves, rate filings, and other actuarial items.
- The contractor shall make all such records, books, and other documents relevant to the contract available to the state agency and its designees and the Missouri State Auditor in a format acceptable to the state agency at all reasonable times during the term of the contract.
- The contractor shall retain all such records according to the state agency’s retention period or the completion of an independent audit, whichever is later.  If any litigation, claim, negotiation, audit, investigation, or other actions involving the records has been started before the expiration of the retention period, the contractor shall retain such records until completion of such action and resolution of all issues that arise from it.
