[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide legal counsel to, and representation of, the city in its collective bargaining
meetings and negotiations with labor unions representing employees in the city’s fire department to the government authority located in Kansas City, MO.
- Counsel will be expected to provide the following services advise and represent the city in negotiation sessions with union, meet with designated city staff to define management goals and policy for union negotiations, provide research and consultation on current trends, practices, and community standards of other public employers on a variety of labor related issues, provide consultation on labor laws, including, but not limited to, the terms and conditions of employment, labor practices, layoffs, statutory changes, pension modification, work schedule changes, revisions of departmental rules and staffing guidelines, provide consultations with the city manager, assistant city manager, city attorney, fire chief, human resources director, labor relations representatives, elected officials and their staff, meet with designated city staff to assist in formulating the management proposals for negotiations, review initial materials submitted by unions in anticipation of negotiations, provide debriefing on the status of negotiations for city manager, assistant city
manager, city attorney, fire chief, human resources director, labor relations representatives, elected officials and their staff, participate in drafting proposals and prepare documents for negotiations, assist in the formulation and preparation of cost analyses of city or union proposals that are made as part of negotiations, attend negotiation sessions as the city’s chief negotiator, handle public and media interviews as required, act as the city’s management advisor in mediation, fact finding and related procedures related to negotiations.

- Onshore (USA Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location
